It is with a heavy heart I wish to inform you that Julia's father (Mario Donato) passed away this evening. We are asking all our marriage encounter friends to pray for his soul and for Julia. He was battling cancer the last few years and has been declining in recent months. We are consoled to know that he is with Our Father in heaven now and that his pain has been relieved.

It has been a long difficult road for us. Julia has spent many weeks away from home to be with him in Huntley, IL (about 2 1/2 hours from here). The power of dialogue has helped us endure. We know the power of your prayer will help us get through this difficult time. Your love and support has always been great comfort to us. Thank you for your love.

Please pray for Jason Hinkle, son of a friend of ours, in his late 20's or early 30's. He is in intensive care on life support and in acoma after a car accident. Jason has 2 young children and a wife. They are discussing whether to take him off life support or not. Please pray for this family.

My Godmother's brain surgery went fairly well. They removed about 90% of the tumor. After 3 days of induced coma they woke her and she could still talk, although she struggles with her vocabulary a little. As the swelling in her brain goes down they think that will improve. She will need to undergo radiation therapy to treat the remaining portion of the tumor. Please pray that the treatments will be successful
