Lisa and I had been married for about 7 years when we heard about World Wide Marriage Encounter at our church.  We had been looking for some kind of couple's retreat to bring back the spark that we had in our early years of our marriage.  Lisa & I had lost that drive to keep our relationship first on our list. We knew that something was missing in our marriage but did not know what.  When we went on our weekend, we where able to start talking again. We saw each other differently.  We enjoyed spending time together again.  At first I did not know what to expect on the weekend. I was a little nervous, but I'm so glad that we went.  Since our weekend we still have are ups and downs but we are able to work through them a lot easier and with more understanding of each other's feelings. Our family has gained so much from the weekend. Our girls see so many of there friends' parents separated or divorced, and they see how hard we work on our relationship that they let us know that they are very proud of us.  We encourage anyone thinking of making a weekend to take that leap of faith and attend a weekend.  God has graced us with the gift of our relationship again.
